His father WANG Qi-ming was a traditional music lover and could play most of the instruments that gave WANG Yi a good chance to approach the traditional music. In between September 1946 to July 1956, he taught in the Professional School of Shanghai and composed his maiden erhu<\/em> piece The Field Song<\/em>. In 1953, he composed according to the folk music of his hometown a new erhu<\/em> piece Good Harvest<\/em> and based on Kunqu<\/em> wrote the Chao Yuan Ge<\/em>. He always teaches the fellow students to learn the music in a no disturbance circumstance.
