CUI Jun-zhi<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n CUI Jun-zhi is the first person to develop the performance skills of the modern konghou<\/em>. She was a member of the National Traditional Orchestra of China and was appointed as the national first class performer. She is now living in U.S.A. and is the gust lecturer of China Conservatory. She has won many prizes in various competitions. In 1969, she graduated from the China Conservatory. During her study in the conservatory, she took piano as major and also studied erhu<\/em> and matauqin<\/em>. After graduation, she was appointed to the Song and Dance Theatre of Hebei Province. In which, she acquired the skill of harp performing. In 1979, she participated in the reformation of konghou<\/em> and based on the performing skills of harp, zheng<\/em>, guqin<\/em> and pipa<\/em> to develop a series of skills on the konghou<\/em>. She became the first konghou<\/em> performer in modern China.
