His first name was Jing-ting and the other name was Mai Lu Weng. When he was young, he met a WANG Lu at the pool side then he learned the qin under him. Later on, he further studied under ZHAN Cheng-qiu. In 1948, he changed his dwelling place to Nanjing. He then visited and learned more from the Nanjing players.
